Group Antenatal Care Sessions Progress Across Siaya County Facilities – June 2026 | Siaya County

Implementation of the Uzazi Salama Project continues to make steady progress across selected health facilities in Siaya County.

Several cohorts of pregnant women have been successfully formed under the Group Antenatal Care (G-ANC) model, with most participating facilities now having completed Session Three of the seven-session care package.

The Group Antenatal Care approach brings together pregnant women with similar gestational timelines to receive clinical care, health education, and peer support in a collaborative setting.

Healthcare providers trained through the project continue to facilitate group sessions focused on birth preparedness, nutrition, maternal wellbeing, newborn care, and healthy pregnancy practices.

HERA remains committed to working closely with Siaya County health leadership and facility teams to strengthen maternal and newborn health outcomes through innovative service delivery approaches.
