Project Objective:  This 3-year mixed-methods study with vulnerable men in Kenya will examine pathways between ecosocial factors, including extreme weather events (EWE), resource insecurity, and HIV prevention among vulnerable men

Project Title: Implementation Strategies to Deliver PrEP in Kenya.

Objectives:  The objective of the NCD study was to understand the barriers and facilitators for NCD screening in the urban informal settlements of Nairobi Kenya. This is a two year study with three aims. 

Aim 1:Identify barriers and facilitators to hypertension and T2D screening and management: 

Aim 2: Design a partnership model among the multi-level stakeholders and identify implementation strategies 

Aim 3: Implement and evaluate the selected model and strategies by measuring relevant implementation outcomes

Project Title: Using Web-based Peer Support to Increase HIV Testing Among Men who have Sex with Men in Kenya

Objectives: A research study designed to adapt and implement an evidence-based  internet-delivered peer program that aims to: increase peer social support, decrease social isolation, minimize the effects of HIV and same-gender stigmas on HIV self-care and healthcare seeking behaviors, such as HIV testing.  HERA led and managed remote qualitative data collection during Covid-19  lockdowns
