HERA got an award from the University of South Florida entitled “Delivery of PrEP for key populations in Kenya: Applying coincidence Analysis to Determine Effective Implementation Strategies”. In this program, we will work in 10 Counties in Kenya. We are collaborating with Q-Initiative and the project will run for 2 years.

Objectives:

The objective of this study is to determine how implementation strategies and site-level contextual factors affect uptake and continued use of PrEP in 10 counties with moderate to high HIV burden in Kenya.
The following are aims of the study:

  • Identify the implementation strategies and contextual factors affecting PrEP implementation within clinical and community-based organizations in Kenya.
  • Determine the combination(s) of implementation strategies and contextual factors that produce the most effective delivery of PrEP to populations at greatest risk of HIV acquisition.
